Unlocking your employees’ potential

More than ever, today’s global organisations are focusing their time and attention on maximising the value of their work forces, says Magda Newman Corporate Education Relationship Manager at ESCP-EAP

As corporations, not for-profits and government entities are becoming more globally integrated, and as traditional geographic and competitive boundaries disappear, the need to identify, develop and connect talent has never been more critical. The strain that global economic growth is placing on the supply of commodities and the environment has been well documented. Perhaps less well understood are the difficulties this expansion is causing today’s organisations as they strive to make the best use of their most important assets: their workforces.

However, as any firm that has attempted to transform its workforce will attest, the journey is difficult and littered with obstacles. Understanding workforce performance challenges and identifying the leading practices companies are using to overcome them have become a central focus of ESCP-EAP European School of Management research, which is why they are able to deliver tailored executive training programmes that shape and align individual mindsets with organisational goals.

ESCP-EAP helps organisations predict future skill requirements and identify the right training to overcome skills shortage. ESCP-EAP has identified three important areas that require the attention and focus of senior executives across organisations, including those responsible for the HR function. These are:

Developing an adaptable workforce by continuous training and professional development

Revealing the leadership gap and addressing it to ensure future growth

Identifying the best strategy for talent management

As a leading education provider, ESCP-EAP takes the responsibility of grooming future world and industrial leaders very seriously. Their role is to prepare these future leaders for the challenges of an ever-changing and increasingly multicultural world.  In the words of Davide Sola, UK director: … ‘We aim to achieve this by providing executives with knowledge, skills and more importantly with a correct mindset’.

The ESCP-EAP community shares a firm belief that exposure to different people and different cultures as well as first-hand experience of different environments are critical to business success. Cross-cultural exposure and experience shape the attitudes and skills that internationally operating businesses require from their managers.

Today with campuses in Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid and Torino, ESCP-EAP is at the cutting-edge of cross-border business education. It is also a dynamic expression of European cultures and identities. ESCP-EAP is a business school with global aspirations and a European institution with broad ambitions:

To shape and instill the critical knowledge and skills for a successful multicultural society and thriving economy of 500 million people

To capitalise on the European Union’s creativity and innovation, its diversity of cultures and traditions and the hopes of its people for a better future together

The school’s world-class faculty and close ties to companies throughout Europe, and worldwide, ensure integration of classroom learning with industry experience.  Teamwork, interdisciplinary research, in-company projects, and specialisation options further allow students to custom-tailor the programme according to individual skills.

With AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA accreditation, ESCP-EAP meets the highest international academic standards and has developed an original model of management education in Europe aimed at both current executives and the managers of the future.
